yikes! Who knew?
Apparently Magic Erasers aren’t as harmless as the manufacturers hope we believe… This little boy had a terrible experience, and he is not an isolated case.

Don’t forget time change tonight! Oh how I wish they’d do away with that… if you agree, check out www.standardtime.com – they have an excellent proposal there for the abolishment of DST.

I have a separate blog for it… only because the place has all kinds of neat stuff to help. It’s accessible at ExtraPounds.com.
Now you have to “register” and be “logged in” to comment. I’m sorry for the inconvenience of it, but the spam (over 1000 in 3 days!) has really gotten out of hand, badly.
PLEASE title your comment “personal”… so I can find it amongst the spam comments I have to moderate.. UNLESS you already have comments showing on my blog, I have it set to let me decide whether to let the comment show, and I have been getting a ridiculous quantity of spam comments and it’s hard to dig through which are […]
(no pun intended)… The other three kids had their eyes checked this week. Nate will be getting reading glasses similar to Tim’s. The eye doctor came out and told me that, “I have seen eyes as good as Bob’s & Rachel’s, but never any *better*!” so that was very good news!

I thought his eyes were worse than they are – I’m glad they’re not! – but he got reading glasses. I like how they look on him!
I hate being overwhelmed. Especially when it’s my own fault. Every time I start to do something, I remember (or am interrupted by) something ELSE I need to be doing. There’s too much! I’m working on reorganizing the boys’ room. In the midst, I need to do domain hosting bills for the business, make meals, feed the baby, etc. Somehow, […]
At two days before 10 months old, John Luke is toddling around the living room without holding on! He’s so cute!
…in this morning’s dream! It was huge – at least the basement was. I think I never saw the upstairs. At least not more than briefly. I spent most of the time in the basement. There were at LEAST 8 rooms down there. There were five across the “front” of it, where the door to the outside was, and there […]
So we were at the grocery & Robby decided he wanted chocolate pudding. They didn’t have “chocolate.” We were given a choice between “Chocolate Fudge” or “Devil’s Food.” Well, ok, then! So, since it was Robby who’d wanted it, I asked him. He deferred to me. I picked up one box of each, turning them over to compare ingredients. They […]
I seem to have hit a laggy spot when it comes to blogging. I can mention that JL now has SIX teeth (four on top and two on bottom). . . and that I’ve been doing some serious decluttering. . . and. . . um. Lame post, eh.
I never really got this “deep” into figuring out “why” we homeschool… to us it is “the thing to do” and government school really isn’t an option. (*If, in an extreme case, it became NECESSARY, we would, of course… but it would have to be extreme.*) But, I like this person’s take on it. “SpunkyHomeSchool”
I had two dreams that I remembered this morning. One was that John Luke slid down off the bed and *walked* down the (clean!) hallway into the (very clean and organized and clutter-free!) living room. It would be GOOD if that one could come true. The other was weird. Weird. Yep. Ok, we were in this big building…a cross between […]
It was very good! You know, most people say this book is about slavery – and it is – but nobody ever told me that it is decidedly Christian! Very enjoyable, poignant, and well written.
Probably not all that deep, but thoughts, anyway: Toothpaste, which is more of a “soap,” is so called because of its paste-like consistency. However, it occurred to me, in thinking of this, that “consistency” can be paste-like in more than one way. It can be paste-like in its viscosity (thickness), and it can be paste-like in its sticking power. That’s […]
…that I was pregnant again! Well, I’m NOT… but it was kinda neat in the dream! LOL
