Sentimental Sunday

We have a “new” tradition (formed over the last several months) of having Sunday lunch of Jennie-O Turkey Roast, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Since the roasts cook over 2.5 hours or so, it makes it perfect for putting in before Sunday School and having it ready when we arrive home (I *do* have to turn the heat down a little). Having a plan really helps.

When I was a teenager, our regular Sunday lunch was steak, corn, and potatoes. When I was about 16, it was my job to cook the steaks. My mom and my brother preferred theirs done rare, while my dad and I liked to have it well done.

Sometimes it seems impossible that it could have been over twenty years since those days.
