This week…
First, I went to the health department to get my pregnancy “verified” (you know the government types… they don’t believe you unless they see for themselves) and was delighted to see the positive line pop up even before the control line had!
I have an appointment with my “care coordinator” on Monday morning. She sets up my first appointment with my OB.
Also, this week, I got a new sewing machine! Woo-hoo! 😀 I set it up and immediately got to sewing. I sewed together the quilt-top for Timmy’s 13th birthday (I have 15 months in which to get it finished):
Each child got a pillow. Bobby’s, Timmy’s, and JL’s came from remnants I picked up at Walmart, Rachel’s came from a piece of material I had here, and Nate’s is pieced together from squares of denim from old jeans.
Nate asked me to use a piece of the leftover material from Timmy’s pillow and put it on his shorts. My first-ever attempt at applique:
And, last but not least, I am making a small quilt for the new baby:
