I bought seeds for my garden.. and other things…
Ok, first of all, Robby came home today with a dozen roses (which are now on my table in a Coca-cola pail) and four rose bushes (which are now planted in the rose bed after a couple hours of work).
Secondly, I bought seeds the other day for this year’s garden. I got the following: marigolds, “stringless” beans, cucumbers, spinach, bell peppers, carrots, sunflowers, tomatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe, summer squash, and pumpkins.
On the back of the pumpkin seed packet, it says these can grow to 17“-18” in diameter and fruits average 100 pounds!! This could be interesting!
And, thirdly, we purchased some other items for landscaping our yard. We got a “fruit cocktail tree” (several different fruits grafted into one tree), 6 blueberry bushes, and 48 Rose of Sharon bushes for a hedge between our house and the neighbors’ houses.
Robby & I decided that it would be a good idea to plant them “by hand” instead of renting some mechanical labor-saving device. Good exercise, y’know.
Fourthly, I did Rae’s hair up in bee butt buns this evening. I got impatient and didn’t wait until it was dry to take it down so the curls didn’t hold as well as they will dry, but I really like how it’s gonna do. We’re going to do ’em again tomorrow for Sunday. Photos:

I’ll get ‘after’ pictures on Sunday, too.
She has LONG hair! a whole lot longer than when I saw her last!
I can’t say much it is about as long as mine
