Chicken/Fish | Many Variations... ~Sharon ~ TATOR TOT CASSEROLE This is Michelle Duggar's recipe 2 lb ground turkey cooked, seasoned, drained 3 2lb bags tator tots 2 cans cream of mushroom 2 cans evaporated milk 2 cans cream of chicken Brown meat & place in large cass. dish. Cover with tator tots. Mix soup & milk together. Pour over top. Bake at 350 for 1 Hour. (One of Daddy's Favorites!) Makes 2- 9"X13" pans The mixture was very cheesy, creamy like. ***************** ~Deena ~ I
just make mine with cream of mushroom soup, milk, grnd. beef, corn or
green beans, and tater tots. Oh yeah some salt and pepper and Lawry's.
I do cook the tater tots first because I hate soggy ones. I have even
cook the tater tots and served them on the side, but you don't have to
do that. my family does not eat cheese so no cheese in this one. It's very simple. ******************** ~Teena ~ ground beef (browned) mixed with cream of whatever you want :) put on bottom of 13 x 9 then tater tots then cheese shredded on top bake 350 for ..... 20-30 minutes *************************** ~Rosanne ~ I use cheese soup instead of cream of mushroom (which my family would definitely not eat *************** ~Renae ~ Canned soup - blecky! :lol I brown 3 lbs or so of ground beef with a little chopped onion Make a gravy by sprinkling beef soup base & flour Then adding water & milk until thick and creamy Grease a pan (or use the cast iron I cooked burger in) Mix in a couple handsful of tater tots (I like some potato in the gravy) Throw in a can or 2 of green beans (optional :) ) Mix in a couple/few handsful of shredded cheddar cheese (I like it cheesy) Top with tater tots to cover Bake at 400* until tots are golden and crispy ******************* ~Leslie ~ I
could almost swear that a friend did it with the meat mixture on teh
bottom of the pan, then added cheese, then topped with tator tots. :) Guess it's one of those things that everyone does a bit differently. ********************** ~Teena - yes meat on the bottom, then some do cheese then tater tots on top. I have done it this way too ********************** ~Renae ~ That's how I used to do it, but I like it better with the cheese mixed in. Otherwise the cheese gets too crusty for me. *********************
