| ~~ April My adaptation on Lynn's Multi-Grain bread recipe. In case you prefer a lighter loaf of bread. 3/4 cup evaporated milk 1-2 Tbsp. water 2 large eggs 2 Tbsp. oil (measuring oil first helps the honey and molasses slide out of the spoon easily) 2 Tbsp. honey 3 Tbsp. molasses 1.5 tsp. salt 1/2 cup rolled oats 1/2 cup cracked wheat, oat bran and wheat germ mixed together per your taste 1 cup bread flour 1.5 cups whole wheat flour 2 Tbsp. vital wheat gluten 2 tsp. bread machine flour Makes 1.5 lb loaf Bake on whole wheat cycle. ********************************** ~~ Lynn This makes a 1 1/2 lb. loaf. - 3/4 c. evaporated milk 2 large eggs 1 T. molasses (dark) 1 T. honey 1/2 c. rolled oats (or 5 grain cereal) 1/2 c. cracked wheat 1/2 c. white bread flour 2 c. whole wheat flour 2 T. vital wheat gluten 1 1/2 t. salt 2 T. butter 2 t. active dry yeast This
is our favorite bread. Yes, I *messed* with the recipe - I combined the
egg bread with the whole wheat bread and subbed the oatmeal and cracked
wheat for some of the flour. I have made this many times. Enjoy!! PIZZA DOUGH makes 2 crusts (12-14 in) 1 c. water 1/2 c. milk 2 T olive oil 2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour 2 c. white flour 1 t. sugar 1 t. salt 5 t. active dry yeast Add
liquid ingrediants first, then sugar, then flour, then salt away from
the center well. Yeast in well. Program for *dough*, then start. When
done place on floured surface, knead in 2 t. granulated garlic. Knead 1
min. rest 15 min. cut in half, form balls, roll out each ball, place on
pizze pan that has been sprinkled with garlic and cornmeal. Let rise
20-25 min. add sauce and toppings, bake at 425F for 20-25 min. EGG BREAD (1 1/2lb) 2/3 c. milk 2 lg. eggs 3 c. white flour 1 1/2 t. salt 2 1/2 T. sugar or 1 T. mollasses and 1 T. honey 1 1/2 T. butter 2 1/2 t. active dry yeast Use basic cycle. CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD (1 1/2 lb) 1 c. + 1 T. milk 1 3/4 c. white flour 1 c. ww flour 2 T. wheat gluton 1 T. honey 1 T. mollasses 1 1/2 t. salt 2 1/2 t. cinnamon 2 T. butter 2 1/2 t. active dry yeast When machine beeps add 1 cup raisins. Use basic cycle. ***************************** ~~Nicole OR TRADITIONAL WHITE BREAD - T Water-------------------11-12 oz salt--------------------1-3/4 tsp butter or margarine-----2 TB bread flour-------------4 cups dry milk----------------2 TB sugar-------------------2 TB yeast-------------------2-1/4 tsp Place in pan. Select basic or rapid setting. Makes a 2lb loaf Timer ok. We also like this one OATMEAL BREAD water-----------------10-11 oz salt------------------1-3/4 tsp honey-----------------3 TB butter or margarine---2 TB quick cook oats-------3/4 cup bread flour-----------3-3/4 cups wheat germ------------2 TB dry milk--------------2 TB yeast-----------------2 tsp. place in pan, use basic setting. Timer ok. I have made this one before too. It goes good with spaghetti. FLAVORFUL HERB BREAD warm milk----------------1 cup egg----------------------1 softened butter or marg.-2 TB dried minced onion-------1/4 cup sugar--------------------2 TB salt---------------------1-1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes-----2 TB dried oregano------------1 tsp bread flour--------------3-1/2 cups yeast--------------------2 tsp. place in pan, use basic setting. Makes 2 lb loaf. Not recommended for timer feature. *************************** |
