| 2 1/2 Lb ground beef 1 med onion, chopped 3 garlic cloves, minced 1 1/4 Cup ketchup 1 med. green pepper, chopped 2 stalks celery, chopped 1/3 Cup water 3 Tbl brown sugar 3 Tbl prepared mustard (like French's) 3 Tbl vinegar 3 Tbl Worcestershire sauce 1 Tbl chili powder 16-20 Hamburger Buns In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat.
In a 3.5 to 4 qt crockpot, combine everything but the buns. Cover and
cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Serve on buns. |
