Beef & Pork
| This is one of our Sunday crock meals. Dh normally can't stand corned beef for long, and he really really loved this! 1 Corned Beef brisket, flat OR point cut (you'll shred so it doesn't matter) 1 jar Frank's Kraut Brown Sugar Thousand Island Dressing Swiss cheese Rye bread
Throw your corned beef brisket in the crock, then add the jar of
(rinsed) sauerkraut. Unless you like it REALLY tangy, then don't rinse.
Cook on low forever.:LOL If the kraut is too tangy, add a little sugar.
Drain a bit of liquid before shredding (otherwise you'll have sopping
bread). I also trimmed the fat off AFTER cooking. Serve on Rye toast
with swiss and TI dressing for a more "authentic" reuben. We only had
American cheese last time, and it was still very good. Really, I put it in the crock before bed on Saturday night, and by early afternoon it practically shreds itself.
